Faith At Work: Adding Action To Faith

This morning is another day to pursue the things of God.  This is the mindset of a person that is adding action to their faith.  It says in the bible in James 2:7, "that faith without works is dead, being alone."  So you can think faith all day long.  You can trust in faith all day long.  But until you add obedience to the thing that God has promised, nothing happens.  Think of it like being an actor on a film.  With God as the director, he has shared the vision, given the script, and set the stage.  As an actor you must be aware of your characters part,  your characters goal, your characters story, and your characters actions.  As you come to action during practice, the director calls out changes and things that he would like to be done better.  During a performance it is upon the actors to bring the script to life, and also adhere to the directions and choice of the director.  If the actor performs well, the audience is able to truly enjoy the presentation that is before their view.  If the actor does not perform well, then it can turn the presentation in the wrong direction and halt the directors vision, believe me you do not want to do this!  You will never work for the director again.  Thankfully Jesus Christ is an amazing director with much grace. 

Today's encouragement is that you understand the vision that God has given to you and that you actively put yourself into the process so that God can lead and move you through this life.  As you continue to practice your faith and perform your intricate part, you can't even conceive the glory that God has for you.  So put action to your faith and watch God work miracles, today!
